grants specialist

Douglas serves as the Grants Specialist at Operation Restoration. He is responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of growth and fund development for the organization and manages all grant-related activities including applications and proposals, reports and prospecting for general organizational support and program-specific grants.

Originally from Paris, Douglas received a bachelor of arts in philosophy and a master of arts in history from Sorbonne University. He received his Ph.D. in ethnomusicology from Wesleyan University in 2022. The focus of his dissertation was klezmer music, the soulful instrumental music that originates from Yiddish-speaking Jewish communities of Eastern Europe.

Before joining Operation Restoration, Douglas worked as the fundraising officer at the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in New York and as the Program Coordinator at Stanford’s Center for Advanced Study in Behavioral Sciences. In Paris, he also briefly worked at the Department of Foreign Affairs.

As a member of the team, Douglas looks forward to supporting the fantastic programs at Operation Restoration.
