WOMEN FIRST CLINIC

A reentry education program to prepare formerly incarcerated women to obtain their high school equivalency and other educational goals. The clinic also provides transportation, childcare and snacks.

Operation Restoration and Tulane Sopa at LCIW Women's College in Prison Program

COLLEGE-IN-PRISON PROGRAM

The only in-person, secular, higher education opportunity available to women who are incarcerated in the state of Louisiana. The program is conducted at the Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women (LCIW) in partnership with the School of Professional Advancement at Tulane University.

LAB ASSISTANT PROGRAM

A training program that prepares currently and formerly incarcerated women to work in laboratory settings. The program is led by Pearl Thompson (CLP.G00976-GEN) and Syrita Steib (CLP.204053-GEN) in partnership with Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women (LCIW), Delgado Community College and the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections.

STEM-OPS (STEM OPPORTUNITIES IN PRISON) PROGRAM

A research project with support from the National Science Foundation to identify solutions to barriers faced by incarcerated people to participate in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education and careers.

DIGITAL SKILLS TRAINING

Learn basic computer skills in order to successfully send and receive emails, apply for jobs online and utilize Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Documents and Google Meet.
