Dana Garner
Senior Advisor Operational Culture
Dana Garner is the Senior Advisor for Operational Culture and a core part of the executive team. She is responsible for building and managing the multifaceted operations, core infrastructure, systems and organizational culture needed to achieve the programmatic goals of the organization. The Operations division includes full-time staff, consultants and internal departments including finance, human resources/people operations, systems and data, legal compliance and other functions. Dana serves as a core part of OR’s Executive Team.
A native of New Orleans, Dana received her master’s degree in social work from Southern University at New Orleans. She brings over a decade of experience leading teams to accomplish ambitious mission-driven goals. Her beliefs are rooted in her experiences as a black woman raised in the City of New Orleans. She has a fierce dedication to people-powered advocacy and leadership. Dana’s passion is to be with her community, listen to what people want and need and work to make those visions of liberation a reality. In her spare time, Dana enjoys crafting and playing with her dog Bentley.
