Take a Stand against the Crime Against Nature Statute

What is #CANSCantstand?

CANScantSTAND is a movement to repeal RS 14:89.2. This revised statute, also known as Crime Against Nature by Solicitation, is a law making the “solicitation by a human being of another with the intent to engage in any unnatural carnal copulation for compensation” constitutionally illegal. However, the problem with this Louisiana law is it has been used to target minority communities throughout the state. The CANScantSTAND movement aims to push legislators and the community to work together to abolish this state law.
